Leeds - Liverpool Cycle Path Challenge 2007
A team of 11 cyclists from Mason Owen and Mason Owen Financial Services braved monsoon conditions at the end of June to take part in a sponsored cycle ride along the canal towpath from Leeds to Liverpool.
The ride was started by the Lord Mayor of Leeds on friday 29th June and the 70 plus riders travelled approximately 128 miles over 3 days arriving in Liverpool on Sunday lunchtime to be greeted by the Lord Mayor.
The ride was in aid of Heart Research UK and the MOP/ MOFs team raised over £4,000 towards the cause. Shepherds and Teesland were the main sponsors of the ride with others including Mason Owen, Knight Frank, Ryden and GVA Grimley.
The picture shows the MOP/ MOFs team with the Lord Mayor and representatives from the main sponsors.
Many thanks to those clients and friends who sponsored the riders and further donations can be made direct to Heart Research UK or to Mason Owen for onward forwarding.
